Guidelines for Annual Meeting and Global Conference Eligibility Requirements

As an enrolled mentee in the MDRT Mentoring Program, or as a current Academy member, you are eligible to qualify to attend the MDRT Annual Meeting or Global Conference, which are said to be life changing experiences, to further your career. The following criteria must be met to be eligible to register to attend.

1. An advisor may attend a maximum of two meetings while a being a member of the MDRT Academy or in the MDRT Mentoring Program. Only one MDRT meeting may be attended in a year. Virtual attendance at a meeting will not count toward the two in-person opportunities.
   
   
2. An advisor must be a current member of the MDRT Academy or enrolled and connected in the
   mentoring program, by March 31 of the meeting year.
   
   
3. To attend a meeting your first time, the mentee or MDRT Academy member must meet a threshold from their prior year-end production, of 50 percent of eligible commissions paid or 50 percent of eligible premiums paid, of the meeting year’s MDRT membership production requirement.

4. To attend a meeting the second time, the mentee or MDRT Academy member must meet a threshold from their prior year-end production, of 75 percent of eligible commissions paid or 75 percent of eligible premiums paid, of the meeting year’s MDRT membership production requirement.

   Total Commissions: $ 55,500
   Total Premiums: $111,000

   If production is submitted on a data file submitted by your company, then no certifying letter is required for validation. If the mentee or MDRT Academy member is submitting production individually, a certifying letter signed by an official of the company is required. For a copy of the certifying letter, please click here for detail. Production must be submitted by March 31.
   

   To upload your production, sign into the Academy or Mentoring Platform, chose to edit your profile, and upload to the Annual Production section.

5. If qualifying as a mentee, your mentor must also be registered to attend the same meeting. Your mentor must be registered before you are able to register.
   
   
6. Once qualified, you will receive an email from the program that provides further information on registration. This email will be sent after March 31, and for mentees, after general registration opens to allow time for mentors to register.
   
   
7. IF the Mentee or Academy Member has ever attended an MDRT meeting in-person, as an MDRT member, they are eligible to only attend once as a mentee or Academy member and must meet the 75 percent production threshold.
   
   
8. All mentees and MDRT Academy members will pay the same registration fee as MDRT members. Payment is due at the time of registration. Please click here for more information on this year’s meetings.
